Marlin was born in Max, ND to Emil and Emilia (Flath) Torno on June 24, 1937. He received his education from Max High School, Wahpeton State School of Science and Minot State University. Read More	Marlin Dale Torno, 81, Minot, ND, formerly of San Mateo, CA, passed away on September 3, 2018 at Trinity Hospital of Minot. Marlin was born in Max, ND to Emil and Emilia (Flath) Torno on June 24, 1937. He received his education from Max High School, Wahpeton State School of Science and Minot State University. Marlin enlisted in the United States Air Force on October 8, 1956. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged upon retiring from 20 years of service on May 31, 1977. After this, Marlin settled in San Francisco, CA where he obtained a B.A. in Accounting and worked in tax processing until retiring. He was involved in the Toastmasters Club and loved history, traveling and spending time with his family. Marlin will be lovingly remembered by his two children, Deanne (Brian) Camarena and Sarda Torno, all of San Francisco, CA; granddaughter, Marlee Rose Camarena; brother, Delton Torno, Minot; sisters, Ruby Krause, Dunseith and Sylvia Crosby, Bellingham, WA. He will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Marlin was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Emilia Torno; and brother, Lowell Torno.
