Funeral services were conducted this (Thursday) afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Angus E.U.B. church (sic) with burial in the Nelson cemetery (sic). ======================= The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, December 11, 1958; pg. 4 Martelia Elizabeth Dillman, daughter of John and Elizabeth Dillman, was born April 15, 1875 at Ceres, Va., and departed this life Dec. 2, 1958 at her home near Angus, Nebr., at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 13 days. At an early age she united with the Lutheran Church of Ceres, Va., and was a faithful member. Her girlhood days were spent in Ceres, coming to Nebraska with her parents in 1910, making their home in Nelson, Nebr. She was united in marriage to Abraham B. Burkett May 31, 1911 and to this union was born two children, Roy B. and Elizabeth Jean Wehrman, both of Angus, Nebraska. Preceding her in death were her husband, one brother and two sisters. She leaves to mourn her passing her two children, a son-in-law, Clair Wehrman, a daughter-in-law, Mildred Burkett, two grand daughters, Phyllis Nelson and Sharon Wehrman, one great-granddaughter, Diane Nelson, one brother, H.L. Dillman of Ceres, Va., and a host of relatives and friends. Through the many years of her afflication she was always cheerful, never complaining, always an inspiration to her family and many friends. Funeral services were held last Thursday afternoon at the Christian Church in Angus, with burial in the Nelson cemetery (sic).
