Mrs. Roy Iseman was pianist. Burial was in Big Creek cemetery. ---Martha A. Morrow, daughter of A. J. and Melissa Morrow was born near Crotty, Kans., January 18, 1865 and passed away at the home of her brother, George Morrow with whom she had made her home for several years, July 29, 1939 at the age of 74 years, six months and 1 days. ---When a young girl she united with the United Brethren Church of Crandall and always took an active part in the work of the church, ladies aid and all social gatherings and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. ---She was united in marriage to Benjamin Briles, May 7, 1884. To this union six children were born. Her husband and four daughters preceded her in death: Daisy who died in infancy, Eva Mae, Etta Esther and Clara Ella. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Finch of Walla Walla, Wash., and a son, William Briles of near Arvada, Wyo; two brothers, William Morrow and George Morrow of near Crotty; three grandchildren besides other relatives and a host of friends.
