Mrs. Clugston was born June 24th, 1852, in Wisconsin. She was a member of the Christian church. Her husband, Shannon Clugston, died several years ago and she has been living with her son. They moved from the farm to town several months ago that she could be nearer medical help, as she has been quite feeble for some time past. The sons survive her, William, Sidney and Jesse. Also a niece whom she raised, Mrs. Bertha Morrison of King Hill, Idaho. > Funeral services were held at the Christian church Sunday by Rev. Corporan and burial in the Cherokee cemetery. Mrs. Clugston at different times lived in town, and when we were a boy they lived just a block south of our home, afterwards building the place which Frank Mertz owns on West Magnolia street. Mr. Clugston ran an implement store, and at that time was mayor of the city. The large number of friends who were at the church Sunday testified to the love and esteem in which she was held by this community. The church would not hold the people, many having to stand outside.
