Description	:	Martha Christine Reuer, 98, Steele, passed away on June 5, 2012, at the Medcenter One Mandan Living Center. Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 9, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Steele, with Rev. Jacob DeBoer officiating. Burial will be in the Dawson Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm Friday, June 8, at the Eastgate Steele Memorial Chapel in Steele, ND, where a prayer service will begin at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Martha was born on August 23, 1913, in Temvik, ND, the daughter of Jacob and Barbara (Huber) Heyne. She was raised and educated in Temvik. Martha married Emil Reuer in Linton on April 10, 1939. Martha and Emil farmed south of Dawson until Emil passed away in 1971. Martha continued to live on the farm until 1981, when she moved to Steele. She moved to the Mandan Living Center on May 24, 2011. Martha loved to volunteer at the Golden Manor with her friends. Her favorite pastimes were playing bingo and going places. She loved her family and her church. Martha had many special friends that she enjoyed spending time with in Steele and Dawson. Martha is survived by her two children, Doris Schwenk, Mandan, and Marvin "Jim" (Regina) Reuer, Bismarck; three grandchildren: Frances (Cal) Magstadt, Devils Lake and their children, Benjamin and Nicholas; Debra (Stan) Thompson, Bismarck, and their children, Matthew and Alexander; and James (Michele) Reuer, Bismarck, and their children, Madison and Wyatt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emil; her brothers, Alfred, Albert, Gerhardt, Richard, and Helmuth; and her sisters, Edna, Alma and Amanda.
