Read More	The Onaga Herald July 5, 1894 On Sunday evening, July 1, 1894, at the family residence in Mill Creek township, Pottawatomie county, Kansas, six miles north of Onaga, Mrs. Martha Noble, beloved wife of Mr. A. J. Noble, aged 47 years, 7 months and 17 days. Martha Calvert was born November 14, 1846, in Kanawha county, Va., (now W. Va.) In early life she was converted and united with the Baptist church. She was united in marriage to Mr. A. J. Noble on the 22nd day December, 1865. In 1876 the family moved to Kansas and settled on the farm where she died. She was the mother of nine children only four of whom, with the husband and father, survived her. The names of the living children are, Mrs. Mary F. Eytchison, wife of S. A. Eytchison, Albert M., Cora L. and Elmer J. Noble. Mrs. Noble took the loss of her daughter, Mrs. Jaques, who died about a year ago, very hard, and last December was taken with Brights disease which terminated her life last Sunday. The writer did not have the pleasure of a personal acquaintance with the deceased, but from those her neighbors who were intimate with her we learn that she was a lady of more than ordinary culture and refinement, pleasant and affable in her manners, and was beloved by all who knew her for her many virtues. Indeed her cultured hand has left its impress on the surviving children, who, while mourning her loss, will honor her in their lives and characters.
