Read More	The Edgar Sun (Edgar, NE) Fri, Sept 14, 1923 - pg 1 Martha Evans Nall was born March 9, 1842 in Morgan County, Ill., and grew to womanhood in the place of her birth. June 11, 1863, she was united in marriage with B. F. Nall and the union was to prove long and especially blessed. In October 1872 the old home in Illinois was left and two young lives ventured into the wilds of Nebraska to wrest a home and competency from its then uninviting prairies. They arrived in Clay County October 4th and after suffering even more than their share of the privations of the pioneers lived to see their hopes fulfilled to measure overflowing. Barely a year after their arrival in Clay County, Mr. Nall suffered the loss of his eyesight and the young helpmate took on the added burden without complaint and together they continued on Life's journey until the husband was called in 1921. After his death Mrs.Nall continued to occupy the comfortable home in this city alone except for a housekeeper. Thursday morning of last week her companion went to call upon neighbors leaving Mrs. Nall busy with her flowers in the garden. On her return she found that Mrs Nall and (sic) apparently tired with her work and went into the house to rest. She was found lying on a couch with her shoes removed and smiling in her eternal sleep as though welcoming the transition. There remain to grieve over the loss of their mother, William and Frank, Mrs. Ella Hart and Mrs. Anna Lewis of this county, Mrs. Sina Hayes of Holyoke, Colo., Mrs. Mary Schwab of Torrington, Wyo., and Mrs. Minnie Cooper of Waukena. California. The last services were held at the home in Clay Center Sunday afternoon at 2:30 with the Rev. J. H. Oehlerking and the Rev. Vincent Beebe speaking the praise of the dead and holding forth comfort to the living.
