Jones, in Clay Center, Saturday morning, December 21 at the ripe age of 77 years, 8 months and 25 days. She was married to B. A. Anderton at Jacksonville, Illinois, May 8, 1864. Her husband passed away over ten years ago. Read More	Susan Evans was born in Morgan County, Illinois, March 26, 1841, and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John W. Jones, in Clay Center, Saturday morning, December 21 at the ripe age of 77 years, 8 months and 25 days. She was married to B. A. Anderton at Jacksonville, Illinois, May 8, 1864. Her husband passed away over ten years ago. There were born to this union six sons and three daughters, three sons having preceded her in death, there being three sons, three daughters and one sister, Mrs Nall, of Clay Center with a number of grandchildren to mourn her loss. The family came to Edgar in 1886, which had been their home for many years. In early life Mrs Anderton became a Christian and united with the Methodist Church, of which her father was so long a minister, enjoying that fellowship the remainder of her life. About a year ago her health failed and from that time she gradually became weaker having been confined to her bed for about three months. Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter Sunday afternoon, burial being at Edgar, Rev Shacklock officiating.
