RICHARDSON DIES Mrs. Martha Richardson, who has been in the state hospital at Clarinda, died there Wednesday evening and her body was brought here Thursday morning to the Wolfe Funeral Chapel where it will remain until the funeral service. RICHARDSON Mrs. Martha Jane Richardson, 81, only child of Nathen and Mary Bennum, who died Wednesday night of last week at the State Hospital, near Clarinda and whose body was brought Thursday to Villisca to the Wolfe Funeral Home, was born November 23, 1955. She was married April 30, 1872 in Iowa and lived in and near Clark County, Iowa until 1904, when she and her family came to Montgomery County, Iowa. Mrs Richardson was the mother of eleven children, nine of whom are living. They are Guston Richardson, Nampa, Idaho, James Richardson, Grass, Wyoming, Jess Richardson, Creston, Iowa, Ben and George Richardson, Grant, Iowa, Harry Richardson, Julesburg, Colorado, Roy Richardson, Prescott, Iowa, Mrs. E. A. White, Villisca, Iowa, and Mrs. A. N, Nelson, Messena, Iowa. Mrs. Richardson's husband preceded her in death September 8, 1908. She united with the Methodist Church in Clarke County forty-three years ago. Funeral services were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. eat the Wolfe Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. W. F. Clayburg, pastor of the Methodist Church in Villisca. The music was by Mrs. Cy Underwood accompanied on the piano by Mrs J. L. Wheeler, and the pall bearers were Ben and George Richardson, Grant, Iowa, Roy Richardson, Prescott, Iowa, E. W. White and son George, Villisca, and A. N, Nelson, Massena, Iowa. She was buried April 17, 1937 in Pilot Grove Cemetery, Elliott, Iowa. M. E. Gourley, undertaking. She was a widow. She married John J. Richardson on April 30, 1872 in Osceola, Iowa.
