Minter, at Springfield Sat. evening at 10:45 o'clock following a year's illness due to complications. Born at Mt Airy, NC on Oct 17 (sic), 1854, she was the daughter of the late James and Susan Sams Faries (or Farris as it was spelled in NC). Sanford Evans of Jackson and Orville Evans of Aberdeen, OH; four daughters, Mrs. Flora Little of Dresden, OH, Mrs. Mary M Boykin of Marion, Indiana; Mrs. Frances Neff of LaGrange, Illinois and Mrs. Minter. She also leaves two brothers, William and James Faries of Jackson; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Schellenger of Springfield, Mrs. Emma Jones of Toledo, Mrs. Effie Smith of Columbus and Mrs. Joanne Stevens of Almeda, Ca. ; 11 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren. Her husband Wayland Evans, preceded her in death many years ago. The body was taken to the Littleton funeral home at Springfield where short services were held Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock. The body will then be brought to Jackson where services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 in the Seventh Day Adventist church with Rev. S.K. Lenhoff officiating.
