On October 27, 2006, MARTHA K. LANHAM, of Paeonian Springs, Va, died in Loudoun Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Leesburg at age 84. She was born April 12, 1922 in Sunny Ridge, Virginia to the late William F. and Susie V. Marcus. She was a homemaker and moved to Maryland with her late husband of 66 years, Rev. Arthur W. Lanham, who passed away August 31, 2001. Her husband was pastor for 33 years of the Full Gospel Church of Hampden, MD, where Martha played the piano and helped with church work. She is survived by son John and wife Betty Lanham of Paeonian Springs, VA, daughter Mary Zipprian of Hanover, PA, granddaughter Marianne and Mark of York, PA, grandson John W. Lanham Jr., and Karson Lanham, two sisters, Mary Hepner of Winchester, Va and Evelyn James of Paeonian Springs, VA, three brothers, Rev. Russell Marcus of York Springs, PA, Harvard Marcus of Brandy Station, VA, and Herman Marcus of Greenville, VA and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Hall Funeral Home of Purcellville, VA from 6 to 8 P.M. on Monday October 30. Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday October 31 at 11 A.M. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery of Round Hill, VA. Memorial contributions may be given to the Loudoun Long Term Care Center, 235 Old Waterford road, Leesburg, VA.
