Description	:	Funeral services for Flora Bacon, 72, wife of the late William Bacon of Grant was held Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Grant, with the Rev. Clement M. Rowe, local pastor in charge. Miss Helen Blackburn and Mrs. Gerald Taylor sang, “In The Garden” and “ Abide With Me”, accompanied by Mrs. Earl Spiker. Pall bearers included J. E. The daughter of Ed and Mary Ann Wilson was born August 15, 1886 and died June 6, 1959 at the Villisca Nursing Home in Villisca where she had been a patient for several years. She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Charles Morrow of Victorville, California, Mrs. E. A. Lambert of LaPlata, Missouri, Mrs. Ed Curtis of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Fred Johnson of Lockridge, and five brothers, Carl Wilson of Columbus Junction, Ralph Wilson of Lewistown, Missouri, Freddie Wilson of Crawfordsville, and George Wilson of Salina, Kanas. Relatives coming for the services included Mrs. Fred Johnson of Lockridge, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Wilson of Burlington, and also a cousin from eastern Iowa. Rev. A. Breeling had charge of the service accompanied at the piano by Mrs. Orrin Carmichael. Pall bearers were Georg V. Patterson, Henry Carmichael, Henry Shearer, Millard Brashaw, Bernard Walter, and Donald Pierson. Burial services were at the Grant Cemetery. Mrs. Martha Lenora Bacon was born March 13, 1860 at Newcomers Town, Ohio and passed away August 15, 1946 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ethel Neary of Red Oak. Mrs. Bacon is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Neary and Mrs. Bernard Walter of Chicago. Mrs. Bacon lived in Grant for many years. Those attending burial services from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Walter, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Harness, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Wilkinson, Seminole, Oklahoma, Mrs. Merle Nelson, Mason City, Iowa and Glen Currry, Cromwell, Oklahoma. She was married to Thomas Murray on March 16, 1910, who died in 1915. She married William Lyman Bacon on October 6, 1921 in Montgomery County, Iowa.
