Mrs. Lee was born on March 13, 1927 in Scott, IN to Ralph and Wreta (Hagerty) Bassett. Living her lifetime in LaGrange and Elkhart counties, she was a homemaker and a registered nurse. Mrs. Lee was a member of the Scott United Methodist Church in rural Shipshewana, IN and the United Methodist Women of the church. She was a volunteer and driver for many years with Meals on Wheels. Mrs. Lee was born on March 13, 1927 in Scott, IN to Ralph and Wreta (Hagerty) Bassett. Living her lifetime in LaGrange and Elkhart counties, she was a homemaker and a registered nurse. Mrs. Lee was a member of the Scott United Methodist Church in rural Shipshewana, IN and the United Methodist Women of the church. She was a volunteer and driver for many years with Meals on Wheels. On August 19, 1950 in Scott, IN she married Robert E. Lee; he preceded her in death on April 3, 2012. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Michael Bachmann of Richmond, VA and Colleen and Ronald Hostetler of Topeka, IN; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Debra Lee of Middlebury, IN and Byron and Suzanne Lee of Shipshewana, IN; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Marilyn Anderson of Kalamazoo, MI and Elaine and Paul Kronewitter of Rolling Prairie, IN.Her parents, two sisters, Charlotte Miller and Jane Eash, and a brother, Charles F. Bassett also preceded her in death. Burial will follow in Grace Lawn Cemetery in Middlebury, IN.
