Description	:	Daughter of William & Ella (Schley) Benning. She was baptized, confirmed, and married at St. John's Lutheran Church - Shell Creek. Martha received her education at District 44, Platte County. On February 24, 1932, Martha married her childhood sweetheart, Paul H. Schreiber. They lived on Martha's family farm northeast of Columbus for 42 years. She helped Paul milk cows and sold grade A milk. Martha also took care of her chickens and sold hatching eggs. On February 24, 1932, Martha married her childhood sweetheart, Paul H. Schreiber. They lived on Martha's family farm northeast of Columbus for 42 years. Martha was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was the oldest living member of the congregation at the time of her death. She was a member of the St. John's Ladies Aid, the Golden Keys Extension Club, and the senior bowling league. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ, quilting, crocheting, embroidering, playing cards, and yahtzee. Martha also spent time in her garden, especially with her flowers, doing paint by numbers, jigsaw , word and find puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends.
