Description	:	Funeral services for Martha M. Finke, 90, were held February 7, 1991 at the United Methodist Church in Creighton with Revs. Koni Purdy Purscell and Kenneth Purscell officiating. She died February 4. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery in Creighton. Pallbearers were Gary Finke, Robert Nelsen, Norman Doerr, Ron Finke, Orrin Pospisil and Charles Tyler. Martha Marian Finke was born at Wausa on August 6, 1900 to Ove and Petrena (Sonder) Nelson. Shortly after her birth, the family moved to Verdigre, where she graduated from the eighth grade. After working at home for a few years, she then went to work at Bazile and Winnetoon grocery stores. She married Fred John Finke on August 30, 1922. One son, Waymond Douand, was born to them. They farmed in the Creighton, Brunswick and Plainview areas before going into the grocery business at Creighton in 1946. They were in the business until Fred retired in 1969. She was very active in the Methodist Church until going to the Creighton Care Centre, where she has resided for the past several years. Survivors include one daughter-in-law, Lila Finke Suhr of North Platte; three grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three sisters, Ann Wiles, Kearney, Vera Besser, Clearwater Beach, FL and Marie Tenney of Creighton and one brother, Chris Nelsen of Creighton.
