Death, which was attributed to a vremic coma, occurred at his home here. Born February 9, 1869 at Djorup in Bislev Sogn, Denmark, he was 69 years, eight months and 19 days old at the time of his passing. At 21 he came to this country, locating first at Pierce. March 25, 1898 he was married to Trine Caroline Sonder of Creighton. They lived on a farm near Wausa, then near Verdigre. Funeral Held Sunday Following a long illness, Ove Nelsen passed away at 5:30 Friday afternoon. Death, which was attributed to a vremic coma, occurred at his home here. Born February 9, 1869 at Djorup in Bislev Sogn, Denmark, he was 69 years, eight months and 19 days old at the time of his passing. At 21 he came to this country, locating first at Pierce. March 25, 1898 he was married to Trine Caroline Sonder of Creighton. They lived on a farm near Wausa, then near Verdigre. In 1920 Mr. Nelsen purchased a farm northwest of Creighton, where they lived until the spring of 1937, when they moved into Creighton, where their new home was erected. In June 1929 Mr. Nelsen enjoyed a visit to Denmark, his native land. In 1935 he united with the Methodist church and was a loyal and faithful member until the end. Those surviving are his wife; two sons, Chris and Andrew of Creighton; four daughters, Mrs. Martha Finke, Creighton, Mrs. Anna Brun, Kearney, Mrs Marie Tenney, Venus and Miss Vera Nelsen of North Platte; seven grandchildren; two brothers and a sister in Denmark. Also left to mourn his passing are his aged father-in-law, Martin Sonder of Verdigre, other relatives and scores of friends acquired during his long residence in this section of the state. The Methodist Church, where funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2, was not large enough to accommodate the many who assembled to pay their final tribute. Beautiful flowers surrounding the bier also testified to the esteem in which Mr. Nelsen was held. The officiating pastor was Rev. D.S. Bornemeier, church pastor.
