Born in Germany, Mrs. Dreesen, whose maiden name was Marie Spiering, came to the United States and Nebraska when she was 16 years old. Her parents followed her to Nebraska two years later. Read More	Mrs. Chris Dreesen, 70, 1006 Pierce Street, died at 9:15 o'clock Saturday morning at her home following a brief illness. Born in Germany, Mrs. Dreesen, whose maiden name was Marie Spiering, came to the United States and Nebraska when she was 16 years old. Her parents followed her to Nebraska two years later. Before coming to Norfolk in 1915, she was a resident of Pierce. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Norfolk. Surviving are her husband, two sons, Herman and Willard Kreuger, both of Norfolk, and four daughters, Leona and Nettie Krueger, also of Norfolk, and Mrs. F. C. Ahlman and Mrs. Martha Driguid, both of Omaha. ************************************************ Funeral rites for Mrs. Chris Dreesen, 70, Norfolk, who died Saturday following a heart attack, were conducted Tuesday afternoon at Christ Lutheran Church by the Rev. Theo. Harms, pastor. Hymns were sung by children of Christ Lutheran School. Burial was made in New Lutheran Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Herman Lorenz, Gustav Schulz, Julius Lindsteadt, August Walters, William Filter, and Carl Mittelstaedt. Mrs. Dreesen, whose maiden name was Martha May Elise Spiering, was born April 11, 1874, in Daber, Pomerania, Germany, where she was baptized April 26, 1874, in the Lutheran faith. She was confirmed March 25, 1888. When she was 16, she came to Norfolk, and resided north of here on a farm. She was married Dec. 24, 1894 to William Krueger. On March 14, 1934, she was married to Chris Dreesen. She has been a member of Christ Lutheran Church since 1915. Surviving are her husband, two sons, Herman and Willard Krueger, Norfolk, four daughters, Mrs. Frank Ahlman and Mrs. Henry Diuguid, both of Omaha, and Misses Nettie and Leona Krueger, both of Norfolk; one brother, the Rev. Herman Spiering, Junction City, Kansas and ten grandchildren.
