Born Nov. 27, 1914, in Hillsboro, she was the daughter of Stanley and Mora Harsha Rogers. Her husband, Heber L. Wilkin, to whom she was married on Oct. 11, 1934,, in Hillsboro, survives. She was a retired librarian in the Highland County District Library System serving for some 40 years many of which were in the Lynchburg Branch Library. She was a member of the Hillsboro Woman's Club and member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hillsboro where she was Clerk of the Session, the first woman to be named to that prestigious office. Also surviving are a daughter, Jane Wilson of Bellville, Michigan; a son, Thomas R. Wilkin of Hillsboro; a brother, Thomas H. Rogers of El Cerrito, California; a sister, Marion Green of Mansfield; a grandson, Terence Wilkin of San Diego, California; a granddaughter, Cynthia Wilkin of Cincinnati and a great-granddaughter, Ashleigh Wilkin of San Diego, California. Services were held Monday at the First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro with Rev. Dan Mitchell officiating. Burial followed in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Hillsboro First Presbyterian Church. Arrangements were under the direction of the Turner and Son Funeral Home.
