She was preceded in death by her husband, Merl Sawyer; her parents; four brothers and five sisters. Martha was born January 21, 1915, at Hackensack, Minnesota, the daughter of Karl and Fanny (Horbel) Rossberg. She was a member of First Christian Church in Center Point, Iowa, which she attended regularly and had served on various committees and donated many hours and items. Martha loved her farm, gardening, and her family. She also enjoyed quilting and loved playing cards. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
