Description	:	Martin Kimminau Passes Away Martin Kimminau passed away at the Mary Lanning Hospital Thursday afternoon January 22 about 2:30 P.M. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance shortly before noon. He had been in poor health for the past several years and had spent much time in the hospital for medical care. He was a life time resident of the Lawrence Community, a member of St. Stephens parish and a World War II veteran. The Lawrence Locomotive (Lawrence, NE), Thursday, January 29, 1976; pg. 1 ===== Martin Kimminau Obituary Funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M. monday (sic), January 26, for Martin Kimminau who passed away Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings. He was brought there by ambulance that morning. Father Edward Stander offered the funeral Mass at St. Stephens Church and officiated at the interment services in St. Stephens Cemetery where he was laid at rest with full military honors under the auspices of the Kent Kailey Post No. 45 of the American Legion of Lawrence of which he was a member. Pallbearers were nephews Sylvester Kimminau, James Kimminau, Albert M. Tebbe, Michael Tebbe, Dennis Tebbe, and Roman Skalka. Martin Kimminau, son of Bernard and Anna (Reining) Kimminau was born on June 6, 1906 and passed away at the Mary Lanning Hospital on January 22 at the age of 69. He was called to military services in 1942. After returning home, he lived on the family farm with his brother Florens and sister Josephine and engaged in farming. Before his death he had been in poor health for eight years. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Anna Tebbe and Josephine Kimminau; and a brother Florens all of Lawrence.
