Description	:	MARTIN JOHN SPAULDING Martin John, son of John and Martha Spaulding, was born January 14, 1861, at Augusta, Wisconsin, and departed this life on April 8, 1946, at Minot, North Dakota, at the age of 85 years, two months, and 23 days. His youthful days were spent on farms in Wisconsin and northern Iowa. Read More	MARTIN JOHN SPAULDING Martin John, son of John and Martha Spaulding, was born January 14, 1861, at Augusta, Wisconsin, and departed this life on April 8, 1946, at Minot, North Dakota, at the age of 85 years, two months, and 23 days. His youthful days were spent on farms in Wisconsin and northern Iowa. He was united in marriage to Laura Hawery on March 21, 1883, and to them were born four sons and one daughter; Ira and Howard, deceased. Grover of Lamoni, Mrs. Ruth Cooper of Minot, N. D., and Walter Spaulding of Towner, N. D., thirteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a brother, Frank of Long Beach, Calif., and a sister, Mrs. Joseph Stowell of St. Louis, Mo., survive. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1931. Mr. Spaulding was baptized in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints early in life and was devoted to his faith into death. The high ideals for which he stood and his fine manner of living were splendid examples for all who were privileged to know him. At various times throughout his life, Mr. Spaulding made his home in Lamoni and will be remembered by many.
