Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Nelson Community United Church of Christ in Nelson with the Rev. John Green officiating. Burial will be in the Nelson Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home in Nelson is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the family. Mr. Ruhga was born March 21, 1918, near Nelson to Charles and Bertha (Felton) Rugha. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home in Nelson is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the family. Mr. Ruhga was born March 21, 1918, near Nelson to Charles and Bertha (Felton) Rugha. He spent his entire life farming in the Nelson area. He was inducted into the U.S. Army at Fort Sill, Okla., on Feb. 19, 1942. He served in World War II in the Pacific in the 105th Artillery Division. He was stationed in Australia and Tokyo. His love of horses stemmed the Army, where he was among the last of the cavalry troops before the military became motorized. He married Elsie M. Drudik on Dec. 4, 1951, in Kearney. Survivors include his wife; one son, Dick L. of Ord; two daughters, Sue (Mrs. Mike) Hagmann of Grand Island and Pat (Mrs. Wally) Veburg of Hordville; three grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter; and two sisters, Helen Eckles of Nelson and Evelyn Borge of Edgar.
