Description	:	Marvin D. "Jeep" Handley age 83, of Brookville, died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Brookville Healthcare Center in Brookville, Indiana. Born April 16, 1929 in Fayette County, Indiana he was the son of the late Russell & Hazel (Masters) Handley. On September 1, 1950 he was united in marriage to Ethel Deaton, and she survives. Read More	Marvin D. "Jeep" Handley age 83, of Brookville, died Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Brookville Healthcare Center in Brookville, Indiana. Born April 16, 1929 in Fayette County, Indiana he was the son of the late Russell & Hazel (Masters) Handley. On September 1, 1950 he was united in marriage to Ethel Deaton, and she survives. He had been a School Bus Driver for the Franklin County Community School Corporation for over 40 years; worked at the former National Lead/Fernald; owned & operated his own small engine repair business for several years, and had been a groundskeeper at Brook Hill Golf Course for many years. Jeep was a 50 year member of the Fairfield Masonic Lodge #98 F. & A.M.; as well as a 50 year member of the Scottish Rite. He was also a morning regular at Aroma's Café, where he and his group of fellow coffee drinkers solved many world problems. Besides Ethel, his wife of nearly 62 years, survivors include two sons, Ken (Denise) Handley and Billy Handley both of Brookville; two grandchildren, Carrie Handley (Steve Rupp) and Chad (Jen) Handley; three great-grandchildren, Quinn & Darby Handley and Carson Rupp; one brother, Gerald Handley of Richmond, Indiana; as well as several nieces & nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Bertha Lambert. Rev. Rob Turner will officiate the Funeral Services at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, with burial following in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville. Family & friends may visit from 4 till 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, where Masonic Memorial Services will begin at 7:30 P.M.. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Brookville Healthcare Center Patient Activities Fund or the Franklin County E.M.S..
