He was a longtime member of Laurens Road United Methodist Church. He was a "pilot rescue" firefighter in the crash crew at Cecil Field, Jacksonville, Fla., during World war II and subsequently worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 40 years. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife Eva Jean (Priss) Crowe, August 2004. He was predeceased by brothers, Horace and Milton Crowe. Graveside services to honor the life of Mr. Crowe were conducted by the Rev. Bob Fortier at 11 a.m. Friday January 13, 2006 in Liberty Memorial Gardens. The family received friends prior to the service from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the Liberty Mortuary. Memorials may be made to Laurens Road United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 5494, Greenville, SC 29606.
