Description	:	Marvin F. Sobotka, 88, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away Friday, July 22, 2016 at his home. He was born March 4, 1928 in Inman, Nebraska to the late Lewis and Anna (Meyer) Sobotka. Marvin was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Marjorie Ruth (Reade) Sobotka and brothers, Clifford and Eugene Sobotka. He is survived by two sons, Roger (Jo Ellen) Sobotka and David (Cheeba) Sobotka; two daughters, Catherine A. (Marty) Frederick and Nancy (Jerry) Schneider; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and brothers, David, Richard and Raymond Sobotka. Marvin graduated with an accounting degree in 1950 from the University of Nebraska. He retired as a comptroller from the Bunge Corporation of Danville, Illinois after 40 years. After retirement, he moved to Mills Shoals, Illinois and then moved to Boonville, Indiana to be with his family. Marvin served in the Air Force Reserves. He was a Boy Scout leader, Little League coach, very active in church, was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Quail Unlimited and loved to hunt, fish and travel. He was known by family and friends for his annual 4th of July fireworks celebration. Published in Commercial News 07/24/16
