Description	:	Marvin Francis Becker, of Norfolk, NE., went home to the Lord on Friday, October 26, 2012, surrounded by his family. Marvin was born on September 15, 1928, at Hartington, NE, the son of Albin and Millie (Buschelman) Becker. Marvin was raised on the family farm and graduated from Hartington/Cedar Catholic High School. October 25, 1949, Marvin married Yvonne "Bonnie" Kneifl. In 1956, they moved to Norfolk where Marvin began his career with the Dudley Laundry and Servall Towel and Linen. He retired in 1993 after 37 years of loyal service. Marvin was born on September 15, 1928, at Hartington, NE, the son of Albin and Millie (Buschelman) Becker. Marvin was raised on the family farm and graduated from Hartington/Cedar Catholic High School. October 25, 1949, Marvin married Yvonne "Bonnie" Kneifl. In 1956, they moved to Norfolk where Marvin began his career with the Dudley Laundry and Servall Towel and Linen. He retired in 1993 after 37 years of loyal service. Marv was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Parish in Norfolk, NE. He served on the Norfolk (NE.) Catholic School Board, the Liturgy and Stewardship Committees. He was a Lector and an EME, distributing communion at the Norfolk (NE.) Veteran's Home. Marv belonged to the Knights of Columbus Sacred Heart Council 1793 and the Fourth Degree Assembly 606 Monsignor Robert P. Burns. He lived his life with compassion and dedication whether it was finding furniture for single mother or bringing the hungry into his home. He always put others first. He will be remembered by his family and friends because of his great hugs. In his retirement, Marv drove the Handy Bus and worked for Ace Hardware. One of his favorite hobbies was woodworking, specializing in bird house construction using repurposed treasures. He enjoyed horseback riding on trail rides in South Dakota on horses or his son-in-law's mules. Marvin is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bonnie Becker; children and spouses, Kathleen and John Kitner, of Independence, IA., Rhonda and William Oertwich, of Mansfield, TX., Amy and Frank Vross of Spring, TX., Neal and Johanna Becker, of Norfolk, NE., Shelly Miday, of Spring, TX., Layne and Sondra Becker, of Paragould, AR., Lisa and Dale Rosendahl, of Columbus, NE. and Michael and Shealyn Becker, of Elkhorn, NE.; 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Marvin was preceded by: parents; daughter, Cindy and an infant sister, Mary Becker. Burial was in the Prospect Hill Cemetery, Norfolk, NE.
