Daniel Andrews will officiate with burial in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Norfolk. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday followed by a vigil at 7 p.m. at the church. Home for Funerals is in charge of arrangements. 1930-2018 Bonnie, surrounded by her loving family, went to her heavenly home on Jan. 2, 2018, at Edgewood Vista in Norfolk. Bonnie was born on May 21, 1930, at her parents' home in Hartington. She was the daughter of Mathew and Madeline (Dreesen) Kneifl. She graduated from Trinity High School and worked in Hartington until her marriage to Marvin Becker on Oct. 25, 1949. In 1956, they moved to Norfolk to raise their family. Bonnie enjoyed taking care of her family and lived her life for her children and spouse. She worked at Style Shoppe, JC Penney and retired from Norfolk Public Schools after serving many years as a lunch lady at the junior high school. She was very active in the Sacred Heart School and parish, including Catholic Daughters, Altar Society and her favorite, singing in the church choir. Bonnie served as an EME and distributed the Eucharist to the Veteran's Home residents for many years. She will be remembered for her exceptional home cooking, especially banana bread and cookies, her strength of spirit, her fun-loving attitude and love for her family and friends. Bonnie is survived by her eight children, Kathleen and John Kitner of Independence, Iowa, Rhonda and Bill Oertwich of Mansfield, Texas, Amy and Frank Vross of Spring, Texas, Neal and Johanna Becker of Norfolk, Shelly Miday of Spring, Texas, Layne and Sondra Becker of Norfolk, Lisa and Dale Rosendahl of Columbus and Michael and Shealyn Becker of Waddell, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
