Marvin was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by everyone he touched and remembered through all his lasting contributions to his family, church and community. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Gaston on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. with the Reverends Robert Jumper and Jim Fanning officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the services between 5:30-7:00 pm at the home of Warren and Beth Cope, 1260 Mack Street, Gaston. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Gaston, 121 Oakey Springs Drive, Gaston, SC 29053. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is assisting the family.
