Eckhart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Eckhart, was born March 25th, in Coshocton, Ohio. She was married in that city on March 17th, 1870, to Wm. H. Pearce. Pearce The Kansas Optimist Jamestown, Kansas Thursday, January 5, 1911 page 1 Obituary. Mary A. Eckhart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Eckhart, was born March 25th, in Coshocton, Ohio. She was married in that city on March 17th, 1870, to Wm. H. Pearce. To this union were born three children; Perry J., Nora E., and Clara B. Pearce, all of whom survive her. She joined the Methodist Episcopal church at Wayne, Kansas, and in March 1901, her membership was transferred to the Jamestown M.E. church, of which she was a faithful member until her death, December 31st, 1910. She leaves her husband and three children; a sister, Mrs. A.J. Scott, of Denver, Colorado, and a brother, John L. Eckhart, of Lawton, Ohio. She was a kind and loving wife and mother. So great was her love for her husband and children that no sacrifice was too great for her to make for them. The funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Jamestown, Tuesday afternoon, January 3rd, conducted by Rev. S.L. Semans, and the body laid to rest in the Jamestown cemetery. S.L.S.
