Description	:	Mrs. Henry A. Anson. Mary A. Goodrich, daughter of Joseph and Louisa Goodrich, was born May 9, 1938, at the home at Birmingham, Iowa and departed this life on March 23, 1938, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Josephine Hamilton at Ft. Madison, Iowa, at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 19 days. She was married to Henry F. Anson in Gilroy, Calif., on October 5, 1881. Goodrich, daughter of Joseph and Louisa Goodrich, was born May 9, 1938, at the home at Birmingham, Iowa and departed this life on March 23, 1938, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Josephine Hamilton at Ft. Madison, Iowa, at the age of 76 years, 10 months and 19 days. She was married to Henry F. Anson in Gilroy, Calif., on October 5, 1881. To this union were born 5 daughters, 2 of whom preceded her in death, Mrs. Lula Plowman and Mrs. Alma Plowman. The other three with their father survive, Mrs. Celia Pool of Douds, Mrs. George Staubus, Mingo, and Mrs. Josephine Hamilton of Ft. Madison. Also surviving are 21 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers, Egbert Goodrich of San Francisco, Calif., and Austin Goodrich of Gilroy, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Olive Siple of Point Arena, Calif., and Mrs. Georgia Mills of Gilroy, Calif. Five brothers and four sisters preceded her in death. Many years ago she became a Christian and united with the Free Methodist church at Oak Grove. She always lived true to her faith and was a loving wife and mother. About Thanksgiving her health began to fail and on December 19, 1937 she went with her husband to the home of their daughter at Ft. Madison, where she lived until the time of her passing. Funeral services were held at the Douds church, Wednesday, march 30, at 2 P.M., in charge of Rev. R.T. Richards of Douds. Interment was in Leando cemetery. Source: Van Buren Co.
