Her parents were both born in England. Mary A. Moore married in 1881, her cousin, Thomas William Moore. This is cause for a lot of confusion in the genealogy of the family. Mary A. Moore grew up in the village of Thompsonville, Enfield, Hartford County, Connecticut, except for a few years when her parents relocated to Iowa. In 1860 Mary A. Moore lived at Thompsonville, Enfield, Connecticut with her sister, Sarah, and her parents. In 1870, at the age of 11, the family still lived at Thompsonville, Enfield, CT, with her brother George and her sisters Sarah and Jessee. In 1880, Mary A. Moore sived with her parents, and her siblings: Jessie, George, Jennie, and her brother-in-law and sister, Emerson and Sarah Sadd with their two children. By 1900 Mary A. (Moore) Moore had a family of her own: husband Thomas William Moore, Sr; son Thomas William "Williie" Moore, Jr; daughter Mary Maude Moore; and daughter Bertha Moore. Her mother, Mary Ann Moore, a widow, lived with the family in Thompsonville, Enfield, CT. In 1910 the family was much the same, except that her son, Thomas William Moore, Jr., had died, and a cousin, Benjamin Dyson, lived with them. I am not sure which side of the family the cousin was from. Her husband, Thomas William Moore, Sr. worked as a policeman, then a Chief of Police in Thompsonville, and after she died he became a guard before retiring to the home of his daughter, Mary Maude (Moore) Cole in Montague, Massachusetts, where he died in 1931. He was buried next to his wife in the Thompsonville Cemetery in Connecticut. Mary A. (Moore) Moore died a few months before her mother. She probably died at home on Wallace Street, Thompsonville, Enfield, CT, and I am fairly certain that she would have been buried at the cemetery in town where her son, Thomas William Moore, Jr., had already been buried, and her mother, Mary Ann Moore, and her daughter, Bertha Moore, would be buried; the Thompsonville Cemetery, Enfield, Connecticut according to family genealogists Alma B. Lacock and Mildred Boxwell Borg. The children of Thomas William Moore, Sr., and Mary A. (Moore) Moore were: Thomas William "Willie" Moore, Jr. (1882-1906) Mary Maude Moore (1884-1933) m. The authors were first cousins. Alma B. Lacock (1901-1988 never married) was born in 1901 to Milo Lacock and Laura Laurinda (Moore) Lacock b. 1881. Alma’s maternal grandparents were Timothy Olmsted Moore b. 1855 and Harriett Emma (Kidwell) Moore. Mildred Laura (Boxwell) Borg (1900-2004) was born November 18, 1900 to John L. Boxwell and Anna Belle (Moore) Boxwell b. 1879. Mildred’s maternal grandparents were Timothy Olmsted Moore b 1855 and Harriett Emma (Kidwell) Moore. There were only a handful of copies sent to family members. - In front of the genealogy section of Moore Genealogy are letters from Estella Pearl “Stella” Olmsted (1897-1992), never married. Stella was the daughter of Olin Simeon Olmsted b. 1857 and Emma (Sharp) Olmsted. Her paternal grandparents were Simeon Olmsted II b. 1774 and Abigail (Collins) Olmsted.
