She was born July 13, 1925 in Chickasaw, Ohio, the daughter of Alfred and Laura (Luedeke) Roettger. She married Patrick Moran on August 21, 1943 in Stewart, Florida and he survives at the residence. She is also survived by her children: James (Linda) Moran of Celina; Kandace (Tom) Hollman of Daytona Beach, Florida; Kendra (Larry) Rasche of Franklin, North Carolina; Kimbra (Tim) Koch of Cincinnati; Patrick (Mary) Moran of Saint Marys; David (Brenda) Moran of Celina; by fourteen grandchildren; by eighteen great-grandchildren; by her siblings: Ruth (Bill) Dustman of Saint Marys; Al Roettger of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She was preceded in death by two children: Karen and Laura Moran, who died in infancy; by a sister, Anna Miller; a brother, Vernon Roettger; two infant brothers and a sister-in-law, Margaret (Peg) Roettger. Mary was a 1943 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. She, along with her husband, were the co-founders of Moran’s Refrigeration in Saint Marys. She had also worked at the Home Bank in Saint Marys. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic church in Saint Marys and she enjoyed golfing, sewing and playing bridge. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Saint Marys, Father Barry Stechschulte, celebrant. Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 P.M. Friday and from 9:30 to 10:30 Saturday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, where memorial gifts may be given to Grand Lake Hospice. A vigil service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home, led by Mr. Alex Witt. Condolences may be sent to Mary’s family via Millerfuneralhomes.net.
