Mary was born January 8, 1923, at Blue Mound, Kansas, the daughter of Harold and Mary Clark Rogers. She attended Ft. Scott Business College and taught school at Blue Mound. She married Joe Pasia July 2, 1955, in Paola, Kansas. She worked for Santa Fe Railroad in Topeka and then for Blue Cross/Blue Shield for over 30 years in the claims department. Pasia, age 87, of Topeka, passed away Friday, December 17, 2010, at a care home in Topeka. Mary was born January 8, 1923, at Blue Mound, Kansas, the daughter of Harold and Mary Clark Rogers. She attended Ft. Scott Business College and taught school at Blue Mound. She married Joe Pasia July 2, 1955, in Paola, Kansas. She worked for Santa Fe Railroad in Topeka and then for Blue Cross/Blue Shield for over 30 years in the claims department. Mary was a longtime member of the Kansas Avenue United Methodist Church, where she was active with the Kansas Avenue Womens group. Mary was a member of the Beulah Chapter of Eastern Star, where she served as Worthy Matron in 1976. She is survived by her husband of over 55 years, Joe of Topeka; a sister, Alma Renfro of Topeka; two sisters-in-law, Jean Rogers of Ft. Scott, KS, and Mary Lou Terihay of Anaheim, CA; and 13 nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 21, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. She will lie in state Monday from noon 9:00 p.m. with a visitation from 7:00 8:00 p.m. Monday at Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be at Grantville Cemetery.
