Description	:	ANTHONY - Depenbusch, Mary A., 102, was born June 30, 1906 at Maydale, KS, one of fifteen children born to Michael and Mary (Bolz) Traffas. On August 25, 1925 she was united in marriage with Theodore H. Depenbusch at St. Boniface Church in Sharon, Kansas. To this union six children were born. Read More	ANTHONY - Depenbusch, Mary A., 102, was born June 30, 1906 at Maydale, KS, one of fifteen children born to Michael and Mary (Bolz) Traffas. On August 25, 1925 she was united in marriage with Theodore H. Depenbusch at St. Boniface Church in Sharon, Kansas. To this union six children were born. They made their home on a farm south of Zenda, KS. Mary was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Anthony, of the St. Joan of Arc Parish Community, the Altar Society, a charter member of D of I. She was President of the Zenda EHU. She was chairman of the Zenda Blood Mobile for 13 years. After Ted and Mary retired in 1962, they moved to Anthony. On Saturday evening, August 16, 2008, she passed away at the Anthony Medical Center Home Comfort at the age of 102. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted on March 12, 1967; her parents, Michael and Mary Traffas; son and daughter-in-law, Fred F. and Evelyn Depenbusch; daughter and son-in-law, Helen L. and Edward Giegerich; son-in-law, Ed "Flash" Troyer; grandson, Chris Depenbusch; eight brothers, George, Bill, Joe, Sylvester, Mike, Francis, Vincent, and Rev. Lawrence Traffas, C.S.S.R.; and two sisters, Sister Silveria "Elizabeth" Traffas, O.S.F. and Loretta Spencer. She will be deeply missed by her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Rosann Depenbusch of Zenda; her daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Ted Olivier of Harper, Rose Troyer of Caldwell, and Kay and Charles Rankin of Medicine Lodge; her sisters, Ann Bohrer of Pratt, Sister Vincetta "Clara" Traffas, O.S.F. of Mishawaka, IN, Bertha Mans of Wichita, and Agnes Eck of Wichita; two sisters-in-law, Mary Traffas of Sharon and Betty Traffas of Wichita; twenty two grandchildren; forty great grandchildren; twenty-five great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and a host of many other relatives and friends. Recitation of Rosary will be held 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, both at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Anthony, of the St. Joan of Arc Parish Community, with Father Michael Peltzer officiating. Graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Zenda, Kansas. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. ~7:00 p.m. Monday and 9:00 a.m. ~ 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.
