She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Altar Society, Hospital Auxiliary, Craft Club and the Red Hat Society. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Velma, husband Bill on December 13, 1987; infant son John Patrick, Brother Eugene James Sullivan. She is survived by her children, Timothy and wife Rhonda of North Platte, Nebraska, Gregory of Omaha, Nebraska, Daniel and wife Julie of Edgewater, Maryland, Richard of Lincoln, Nebraska and Mary Pat Nathan and husband Dave of Fullerton, Nebraska; 5 grandchildren Chrissy and Molly Mallam and Brian, Colin and Katlyn Nathan; brothers John and wife Marlice, Joseph and wife Lois, Richard and wife Julene, Francis and wife Gayle all of Superior, Nebraska, Michael and wife Jan of Hamburg, Iowa, sisters Ruth Kripal and husband Joe of Hebron, Nebraska Carol Shambaugh and husband Roland of Superior, Nebraska, Patricia Diekemper and husband Joe of Wichita, Kansas and Kathy Bargen and husband Kevin of Lincoln, Nebraska; numerous nieces, and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, October 1, 2011 at 10:30 am from the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Superior, Nebraska with Father Brad Zitek officiating. Acolyte was Richard Sullivan, Lector was Melvin Menke, Altar Servers were Jacob Hawley and John Sullivan. Music was congregational hymns "Amazing Grace," "Be Not Afraid," & "On Eagle's Wings," and solo "Lord's Prayer," by Daniel Mallam with Carlita Erickson as the organist and special song "I'll See You Again," Visitation was held on Thursday, September 29, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm.at the Funeral Home and Friday 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Rosary Service at 7:00 pm at the Church. Pallbearers were David Kripal, Dan Sullivan, Matt Sullivan, Scott Sullivan, Tom Kripal, and Colin Bargen. Honorary Pallbearers were Mary's grandchildren Chrissy, Molly, Brian, Colin and Katlyn. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to go to St. Joseph's Church and Altar Society or Brodstone Memorial Hospital.
