Read More	The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, March 4, 1982; pg. 15 Mary Alice Harig, one of nine children of John and Annie (Krebsbach) Beyke, was born May 24, 1928, at Lawrence, Nebraska, and passed away February 18 at Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings, Nebraska, at the age of 53 years, 8 months and 25 days. Mary spent her childhood days in Lawrence, attended school there and grew to womanhood. May 31, 1951, Mary was united in marriage to Arthur D. Harig. To this union three children were born. She lived in Superior for 31 years and has spent the last two years in Nelson. She was a member of the Superior V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Catholic Church. Preceding her in death were her father; her husband, Arthur, who died August 28, 1974; her son, Dale; a brother, Oliver Beyke; and a sister, Florence Jacobs. Survivors include her mother, Annie Beyke of Superior; a daughter, Mrs. Leon (Ann) Bussart of Superior; a son, Roy, of Lincoln; three sisters, LaVeta Beyke of Kimball, Mrs. Klaus (Leona) Smidt of Superior and Annie Schunk of Blue Hill; three brothers, Joe and Clarence Beyke, both of Lawrence and Valentine Beyke of Hastings; and six grandchildren. Rosary services were held Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Megrue-Price Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Monday, February 22, at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Superior, with Father Frank Machovec officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were Don Harig, Gilbert Smidt, John Beyke, Roger Schunk, Glenn Beyke and Ray Beyke. Music was provided by the St. Joseph Catholic Choir, with Lorraine Rempe as organist.
