Description	:	Mary Ellis Powers was born in New York City December 19, 1857, and departed this life at her home in Nelson, Nebraska, November 24, 1925, at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 5 days. While quite young she moved with her parents to Iowa; later to Missouri; then to Cass county (sic), Nebraska in 1875. She was united in marriage with Frank Rouse in 1875. Read More	Mary Ellis Powers was born in New York City December 19, 1857, and departed this life at her home in Nelson, Nebraska, November 24, 1925, at the age of 67 years, 11 months and 5 days. While quite young she moved with her parents to Iowa; later to Missouri; then to Cass county (sic), Nebraska in 1875. She was united in marriage with Frank Rouse in 1875. To this union were born two children: William A. and Mary E. (Robb) both of Nuckolls county (sic). In 1882 Mr. and Mrs. Rouse moved to Nuckolls county (sic), where they lived on a farm until 1906, when they moved to Nelson, where she has since made her home until her death. Besides her husband and son and daughter, she leaves to mourn four grand children and two great grand children, and two brothers. Mrs. Rouse become a Christian at the age of sixteen years and has been very devoted to the work of the Kingdom. For sixteen years she was president of the Woman's Missionary Society and a constant worker for its promotion. The tie that binds the home life is such that can be found no where else and when it is severed it is sundered forever, unless it is bound by a Christian tie which cannot be broken and a relationship that is eternal. Funeral services were held at the Christian Church Friday afternoon, being conducted by the pastor. A beautiful floral offering expressed the deep sympathy of loved ones and friends.
