Description	:	Mary Alice Crawford Mary Alice, daughter of Samuel and Margaret (Hanson) Richman, was born on a farm in Richman Township, September 5, 1875, one of a family of six children, and passed away at Corydon, Iowa, February 23, 1954 at the age of seventy-eight years, five months and eighteen days. Her entire life was spent in Wayne County. On February 19, 1896 [in Humeston, Iowa] she was united in marriage to Edd Crawford. Read More	Mary Alice Crawford Mary Alice, daughter of Samuel and Margaret (Hanson) Richman, was born on a farm in Richman Township, September 5, 1875, one of a family of six children, and passed away at Corydon, Iowa, February 23, 1954 at the age of seventy-eight years, five months and eighteen days. Her entire life was spent in Wayne County. On February 19, 1896 [in Humeston, Iowa] she was united in marriage to Edd Crawford. To this union three sons were born, John, Howard and Harvey, who preceded his mother in death. Mrs. Crawford was a kind and loving mother, a helpful neighbor, always willing to help when called upon. She is survived by two sons, John of Cameron, Mo. and Howard of Corydon, Iowa, ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, also two sisters, Mrs. Ola McQuire of Garden Grove, Iowa and Mrs. Lucy Ellis of Derby, Iowa and a host of other relatives and friends. She was a member of Rebekah Lodge No. 146. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, February 25th at the Unity Baptist Church, Reverend P. H. Blunt officiated. Music was furnished by Clede Caldwell, Ray Evans, Walter Hickman and Holly Garton, with Mrs. Walter Hickman at the piano. Songs were City Four Square, and Rock of Ages. Pallbearers were Homer Place, Roy Hart, Elmer McCart, Kenneth Surbaugh, Forest Richards and Jim Lamberson. The flower girls were Mrs. Ross Abel and Mrs. Roy Hart. Burial was in the Humeston Cemetery. Times-Republican, Corydon, Iowa, February 11, 1954
