Description	:	OBITUARY Mary Alice White was born in Ashland, Ohio, Ashland county. May 29th, 1853. and passed from this life December 10. 1931, aged 73 years, 8 months, and 11 days. When eight years old she came to Iowa, where she grew to womanhood with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joshua White. April 14th, 1875, she was united in marriage to James i Samuel Bowman, and spent the greater part of her life in Iowa. Read More	OBITUARY Mary Alice White was born in Ashland, Ohio, Ashland county. May 29th, 1853. and passed from this life December 10. 1931, aged 73 years, 8 months, and 11 days. When eight years old she came to Iowa, where she grew to womanhood with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joshua White. April 14th, 1875, she was united in marriage to James i Samuel Bowman, and spent the greater part of her life in Iowa. To this union were born 11 children four of whom, with the husband and father, preceded her in death. The children deceased are Linley Grafton Bowman, Myrtle Ann Bowman, Willard Oren Bowman, and Mrs. Alta Bowman Caldwedl. The sons and daughters who reimain are Hubert J. Bowman and Howard K. Bowman of Nodaway: Alfred C. Bowman of Brooks: Mrs. Lottie May Jackson ot Vernal. Utah; Mrs. Dottie Faye Baker, Lonnie Bryan Bowman, and Mrs. Velma Doris Muttersbaugh, all of Nodaway, most all of whom were at their mother's bedside when she passed to the Great Beyond. There are also 17 grandchildren and 9 great- grandchildren. Mrs. Bowman was the last one of her parents family of five children, and had just one niece left on her side, Mrs. Delpha Bachelor of Cashmere, Wash. Mr. and Mrs. Bowman have lived in this community for the past 35 years of their lives. They were highly esteemed citzens, good neighbors scd faithful friends to all who knew them. Together, they surrendered their hearts to Christ, were baptized and received into the Methodist Episcopal Church on January, 1930. Mr. Bowman preceded his wife in death just a few months ago, on May 16. 1931. and now she, his beloved wife, goes to meet him in their new eternal home. "Thus one by one the stars go down To rise upon some fair shore, And deep in Heaven's jeweled crown And shine forever more. Sometime, sometime our eyes shall see The faces kept in memory. Some day our hands will clasp their hands. Just over in the Morning land." The funerai services were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church. Rev. C. S. Dayhoff of College Springs and Rev. Wayne Emery took charge of the services. A double quartette sang three beautiful selections. The singers were Mrs. Ben Read. Mrs. Harold Bveretts. Mrs. C. N. Kennedy. Miss Lotus Taylor, Jesse Watson, P. P. Carothers, Martin Taylor and Leon Rider, with Ethel Lee at the piano. The pall bearers were E. E. Cramer, Chris Kohli. P. J. Carothers, Steve Arnott. Wallace Patton arid George Rosa Interment was made in the Methodist Grove cemetery. CARD OF THANKS We wish to express to our friends and neighbors our sincere appreciation of their kindness during the illness and at the time of the death and funeral of our Mother.
