Mrs Mary Heit, 77, of New Hampton died at 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 13 of a heart attack while visiting in Cresco. Mary Boellerschen, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Rauh) Boellerschen was born February 23, 1887 at North Washington. She attended Immaculate Conception school in North Washington and schools in Parkston, South Dakota. She lived her entire life in Chickasaw County except for three years in Parkston, South Dakota. Mrs Mary Heit, 77, of New Hampton died at 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 13 of a heart attack while visiting in Cresco. Mary Boellerschen, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Rauh) Boellerschen was born February 23, 1887 at North Washington. She attended Immaculate Conception school in North Washington and schools in Parkston, South Dakota. She lived her entire life in Chickasaw County except for three years in Parkston, South Dakota. On February 11, 1911, she was united in marriage to Joseph Heit at St. Mary's Church in New Hampton with Father Forkenbrock officiating. They lived on a farm southeast of New Hampton and became the parents of five children. After her husband's death Mrs. Heit continued to live on the home place with her son, Ralph. Mrs. Heit was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in New Hampton and St. Mary's Rosary Society. Survivors are two daughers, Mrs Harold (Lorraine) Holschlag of New Hampton and Mrs. Roy (Eleanor) Fankhuaser of Blairsburg, three sons, Raymond of Fredericksburg, Jerome and Ralph of New Hampton; two sisters, Mrs. George Klema and Mrs. Anna Brommenschenkel, both of New Hampton, 15 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on October 19, 1957, per parents and two borthers, John and Henry. The wake was help Friday afternoon and evening with the Rosary at 8 p.m. at the Larkin-Martin Funeral Home. The Very Rev. Julius J. Olinger officitaed at the Requiem High Mass on Saturday, January 16 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's church. The church choir sang the Mass. Interment was in St. Mary's cemetery with Duane Lensing, Charles DeBettignies, Henry Laures, Carl Holschlag, Elmer Peters and Ben Speltz as pallbearers. Relatives and friends from away attending the funeral were: Mr and Mrs. Roy Fankhauser, Paul and Jim, Mr and Mrs. Lary Fankhauser of Blairsburg, Gallus Heit, Mr and Mrs Roman Heit and Mr. and Mrs. William Guthart, all of Charles City, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Rodemaker and family of Cedar Falls, Mr and Mrs. Hugo Hauer of Calmar, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Drilling of Waucoman, John Spinner and Robert and George Lee of Lansing. To find gravesite, enter main gate, go halfway to 'T' intersection, it will be about 20 feet to your left.
