Description	:	Mary Ann Chambers was born in Altona, on the 5th of November 1853 to Mary McKenzie and James Chambers. On the 16th February 1874 she married Ai Brown. Two years later in 1876 Mary Ann and her husband left for Manitoulin on the Steamer "Northern Belle". They arrived at the old village of Manitowaning and from there left on a sailboat and came up Lake Manitou to Silver Bay where they built a log shanty on lot 15 Concession 10. Bio: S.D.
