Morrison was born June 28, 1918, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Albert C. and Mabel O. Pyles Dodds. She was a second grade teacher for 16 years at Rosenmund, and a member of the Retired Teachers Association of Decatur County. A member of the Greensburg United Methodist Church, she also belonged to the Lydia Circle of the church and the Keystone Sunday School Class. She was a 1935 graduate of Portsmouth High School and a 1940 graduate of Ohio University. She received her master's from Ball State. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Vaughn W. Morrison, whom she married Oct. 29, 1941, in Athens, Ohio; one son, David V. Morrison, Bloomington; her mother, Mrs. Mabel Dodds, Greensburg; and one sister, Mrs. John (Martha) Albertson, Lima, Ohio. One sister preceded her in death in infancy. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, with the Rev. Leland Brett and the Rev. Michael Beck officiating. Burial will be Wednesday at noon in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Lima, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. today.
