Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The Bear Paw Mountaineer, Big Sandy, MT, 22 Dec 1921 Obituary: Mary Ann Temple was born in Marion county, Iowa, Oct. 18, 1860, and died at Big Sandy, Mont., Dec. 13, 1921. Her father was John F. Temple and her mother Annabel Long. In her early childhood her father moved to Monroe county near Morovia, where she grew to womanhood. Feb. 10, 1881, she was married to Robert W. Tuttle with whom she had gone to school from early childhood. In their early married life they united with the Methodist church in Morovia, Iowa, which was the home church of the family until removal to the west. Eight children were born to this union: Warren Walter, Etta Lucille, Lora Lee, Dessie Day, Robert Temple, Marie Law, Marcia Long and Grace Helena. Lora died at less than 3 years and Grace as a girl of less than 17. Warren lives in Cleveland, Ohio, Robert in Pendleton, Oregon, and Lucille in Tacoma, Washington, while the other children make their homes not far from that of the father near Big Sandy. All the children were home for the funeral services which were held at the M.E. church at Big Sandy, Dec. 16. She was a woman of very great energy and of deep devotion and loyalty to her family. She suffered almost continuous ill health for more than thirty years. Despite this handicap she kept her home well, she sent the children faithfully to church and Sunday school and at great sacrifice she and her husband gave their children opportunity to secure good educational training. She found time as her children grew older to assist in neighborhood activities. She was past member of the Rebekahs and of the Eastern Star, a member of the Royal Neighbors, and of a neighborhood organization, the Montana Pioneer Club. She was a woman of courage and optamism and sympathy. No one in need ever went from her door empty handed. Her cheer and understanding gave her an unusually large circle of friends among the young people of the community. It is a source of very great thankfulness to her family that despite years of ill health she lived to rear her children and to give them the impress of her life. Her life was a struggle in which she accomplished her great purpose, the rearing of her children. The words of Paul written near the close of his life will apply to her, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord the righteous judge shall give me at that day." ..........................
