Description	:	After an illness of four months, Mrs. Mary A. Burrier died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B. M. Boyer, Nov. 14, 1929, aged 77 years, 2 months and 8 days. She was born in Ohio Sept. 6, 1852, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. House and came to Iowa with her parents in 1859. She grew to womanhood on a farm 3 miles northwest of Farmington. Read More	After an illness of four months, Mrs. Mary A. Burrier died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. B. M. Boyer, Nov. 14, 1929, aged 77 years, 2 months and 8 days. She was born in Ohio Sept. 6, 1852, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. H. House and came to Iowa with her parents in 1859. She grew to womanhood on a farm 3 miles northwest of Farmington. On Sept. 10, 1871, she was united in marriage to Iowa H. Burrier who preceded her in death April 17, 1894, and to this union was born seven children; George B. of Dayton, Ohio; Gertrude, wife of B. M. Boyer, Farmington, Iowa; Ellis J. of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Alta, wife of W. J. Sanders, Rockford, Ill.; Allen, Emmett and Ethel, wife of H. B. Masters, deceased. Besides her children she leaves fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild; one brother W. H. Hose, Farmington, Iowa; and two sisters, Mrs. Lottie Coulter, Farmington and Mrs. LaVencha Lysle of Danville, Ill. to mourn her death. She was reared in a Christian environment and early in life interested herself in social and religious affairs, ever to help and cheer those in distress and illness. For years she had been a devout and conscientious member of the M. E. church anxious and willing to help further church influences and community welfare work. Her death will be a civic loss not easily replaced; her children have lost a loving and self-sacrificing mother, ever thoughtful and considerate; even to the very last days of her life her chief thoughts and concern was for the welfare and convenience of her family rather than her own suffering. Funeral services were held at the M. E. church, in charge of her pastor Rev. W. M. Doughty, Sunday afternoon. Interment was in the city cemetery.
