Description	:	Mrs. Sturkie Dies Following Several Months Illness Mrs. Mary Ann Lucas Sturkie, 79, of Woodford died at 5:30 Monday afternoon at the home of her son, Oscar Sturkie, at McKeesport, Pa., after an illness of several months. She was born in Lexington County and had lived in Woodford for the past forty years. For the past two months, she had been making her home with her son in Pennsylvania. She was born in Lexington County and had lived in Woodford for the past forty years. For the past two months, she had been making her home with her son in Pennsylvania. She was a member of Sandy Run Baptist Church at Gaston. She was survived by three sons, Julius L. Lucas, Oscar Sturkie and Henry Sturkie; four sisters; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Interment will be in the Sand Run Baptist Church cemetery. Published State Newspaper Wednesday, June 17, 1953.
