She was united in marriage with Oscar Matthews in Concordia, Kansas, November 5, 1891 and to this union one daughter was born, Mrs. Lillie Orebaugh of Los Angeles, Calif. She was united in marriage with Oscar Matthews in Concordia, Kansas, November 5, 1891 and to this union one daughter was born, Mrs. Lillie Orebaugh of Los Angeles, Calif. In 1906, she with her family, was converted and joined the Christian Church in Glasco, Kansas, where they lived and was an active member in the same so long as she resided there. In 1916 they moved to Concordia where they lived until Mr. Matthews' health failed and they returned to Glasco where he passed away July 10th, 1922. Mrs. Matthews returned to Concordia where she remained until her mother's failing health called her to Delphos, where she was actively engaged in the work of the M.E. Church while living with her mother there. After her mother's death she returned to Concordia where she met and was united in marriage with Geo.(unreadable) McCain, Feb. 11, 1929 and she with her husband left in April for California to be near her daughter. She leaves to mourn her death her husband Mr. McCain and her daughter Mrs. Lillie Orebaugh of California, her sister, Mrs. Nellie Davis, and two brothers Will and Colonel Patrick all of Delphos, an aunt, Mrs. Maggie Beaver of Glasco and two grandchildren and other relatives, and a host of friends in Glasco and Delphos. Mrs. McCain never possessed good health and thus was not permitted to enjoy all the blessings connected with the same, but in her own quiet determination she tried to fill her mission in life.......... Funeral services were conducted by Rev. R.R. Kaiser at the Christian Church Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Paul Vielguth of the M.E. Church of Delphos assisted with the services. Interment was in Glasco cemetery.
