Description	:	The Uniontown News Aug. 21, 1903 pg. Laid To Rest. Mary Ann Pegg was born in Jersey City, New Jersey, October 30, 1832. She moved with her parents to Illinois when a small child. She was married to Joseph M. Eastwood, February 17, 1848. The had a family of ten children. Two of them died in infancy, and one daughter, Mrs. J. D. Davis, died early in life leaving a baby boy, whom Mrs. Eastwood took and reared to manhood. Mrs. Eastwood's husband, Joseph M., died on June 27, 1894. She moved with her parents to Illinois when a small child. She was married to Joseph M. Eastwood, February 17, 1848. The had a family of ten children. Two of them died in infancy, and one daughter, Mrs. J. D. Davis, died early in life leaving a baby boy, whom Mrs. Eastwood took and reared to manhood. Mrs. Eastwood's husband, Joseph M., died on June 27, 1894. Mrs. Eastwood, with her husband, moved to Kansas in 1859 and settled on a farm seven miles northeast of here, where she lived until 1888, when she moved to Hailey, Idaho, where she lived with her son, T. S. Eastwood, and a grandson, A. D. Davis, until the time of her death, August 7, 1903. Her remains were brought here and laid to rest by the side of her husband in the beautiful Walnut Hill cemetery, on August 14, 1903. The funeral was preached by the Rev. J. M. Green, assisted by the Rev. C. E. West. G. A. Konantz, of Ft. Scott, had charge of the remains, and G. P. Eves, T. L. Ledbrook, E. Kepley, Ed Hutchinson, M. Bowers and Z. Mourning, old friends and acquaintances of the deceased, were the pall bearers. The funeral services, which were held at the Walnut Hill church, were largely attended, and the congregation was deeply affected, especially the old neighbors of the deceased. She leaves six sons, one daughter and twenty-two grandchildren, who now feel very lonely without mother and grandmother. Contributor: debilyn (47160033)
