Miller Ill Almost Two Months Funeral Arrangements Not Completed At one o'clock this afternoon, Mrs. Mary Bowes, widow of the late James Bowes, passed away to her home beyond at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Lottie B. Miller on East Wheeling street, with whom she had made her home for the last six years. Mrs. Bowes was formerly Miss Mary Ann Welch of Junction City and was past the seventy-ninth milestone of life when the end came, and she was summoned to the heavenly throne. On February 18th, she suffered a stroke of paralysis and since that time she has been confined to her bed some days being improved, but complications set in and all that medical aid and loving care could do for her could not save her. Mrs. Bowes was a kind and good woman and mother of fourteen children. The husband preceded her to the grave 14 years ago last July and of the 14 children, twelve survive to mourn their loss. They are Mrs. Wm. Mills and Mrs. P.M. Strayer of Kansas City, Mrs. Robert Olive of near Sugar Grove, Mrs. E.L. Thompson and Miss Laura Bowes of Cleveland and Mrs. Lottie B. Miller of this city, Messers John Bowes of Shawnee, Okla., Henry Bowes of this city, also one sister, Mrs. Henry Burns of Columbus, two brothers, Mr. James Welch of Junction City, and Jacob of Kansas City, Mo., also one half brother, Mr. Ben Welch of New Martinsville, W. Va. The funeral arrangements have not yet been completed, but the services will probably be held Friday morning from St. Mary's church.
