She was born on February 26, 1932 in Delaware Township to the late Lawrence L. and Beulah (McQuown) Clinger. Read More	Mary Anna (Clinger) Hickle, age 89, passed away peacefully in her home with her family at her side on October 25, 2021. She was born on February 26, 1932 in Delaware Township to the late Lawrence L. and Beulah (McQuown) Clinger. Her siblings are Gordon (Jane) Clinger, Ruby (Brent) Sampson, and Patricia (David - deceased) Snook. She grew up on a farm in rural Mt. Blanchard and graduated from Mt. Blanchard High School in 1950. She married the love of her life, William (Bidge) Hickle on August 10, 1951. He was the local barber and passed away in 1981. They had three daughters, Debra (Ron) Walters, Teresa (Frank) Veltri, and Marcia (Steve) Roberts. Mary was also the proud grandmother of Amy (DJ) Walters Deiter, Ryan (Ashley) Walters, Brock (Abby) Roberts, Mallory (Michael Barger) Roberts, Luke Moore and Madison (Jaime) Saravia. Her ten great grandchildren, Austin (Mia Leal), Peyton and Bryant Switzer, Cameron and Landon Deiter, Ellie May and Everett Walters, Mila Saravia and Jayde and Miles Bailey brought her the greatest joy in the last decades of her life. Besides being a wonderful loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Mary worked at the local IGA and the Mt. Blanchard branch of Citizens Bank/Ohio Bank for 25 years. After retirement, she reunited her high school classmates for monthly breakfasts. She was a member of the Mt. Blanchard United Methodist Church and was especially close to her Bible study group. She was famous for her baking skills, with her sugar cookies being the best known. She also served by ministering to other widows and sending cards with personal notes to everyone in her large circle of friends and family for every occasion. She was kind and sweet to all and a woman of strength and integrity who will be dearly missed. Mary's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to her wonderful caretakers over the past several years—Linda, Kelly, Emma, Jen, Cheryl, and Mary Jo—for the love and tender care which they provided. Memorials may be made to Bridge Home Health & Hospice or Mt. Blanchard United Methodist Church. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 31, from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay and for one hour (10:00 - 11:00am) prior to the service at the church. The memorial service will be held at Mt. Blanchard United Methodist Church at 11:00 on Monday, November 1, 2021. Burial will be in Zion Bloom/St. Paul Cemetery.
