She married Jacob Heller on June 26, 1883 at Roselle, Iowa. They were the parents of 12 children: Frank, Lawrence, Al, Theodore, Henry, Joseph, Amelia, Anna, Elizabeth, Mary, Laura, and Rosina. July 1, 1935 - Carroll Daily Herald - Mrs. J. J. Heller, 72 years of age, well known Carroll woman and a resident here for nearly 35 years, passed away yesterday morning at 11:45 o'clock at her home at 308 North West street. She had been suffering from heart trouble for some time and was subject to heart attacks. She had been seriously ill the past two weeks and had a bad attack on Thursday of last week. She gradually grew weaker and complication set in causing her death Sunday morning. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 8 at Ss. Peter and Paul church. The Rev Father Lambert Schenkelberg will be the celebrate. Burial will be in the family lot of Ss Peter and Paul cemetery. Mary Anna Mormann, the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Joe Mormann, was born on Oct 23, 1862 at Baucon, Germany. She received her early education in Germany and when 16 years of age immigrated to America with an aunt and several cousins. She went to New Vienna, IA, where she visited with a brother who was located there. On June 26, 1882 she became the bride of J.J. Heller. The marriage ceremony was performed at the Holy Angels church at Roselle. They moved to a farm near Templeton and continued in that occupation until nearly 35 years ago when the couple moved to Carroll. Twelve children were born to this union, six sons and six daughters, who with their father are surviving. The children are: Frank of Appleton, WI; Henry of Manning; Mrs Thomas Mitchell (Amelia) of Carroll; Mrs Nick Kramer (Mary) of Maple River; Mrs Frank Baumhover (Anna) of Carroll; Theodore of Cleveland, Ohio; Mrs O.L. McClure (Laura) of Council Bluffs; Joseph of Carroll; Mrs E.P. Meister (Elizabeth) of Lake View; Aloysius of Chicago; Miss Rosina Heller of Des Moines; and Lawrence of Chicago. All the children will be present for the funeral services Wednesday and have already arrived with the exception of Aloysius and Theodore. Other surviviers include a brother, Henry Mormann of Foristel, MO and 36 grandchildren.
